{Superintendent Linda T. Keller} Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year!
Thank you for your support of the Streetsboro City Schools. Our teachers and staff continue to work on our mission of focusing on teaching and learning. We all are dedicated to maximizing each student’s social, emotional and intellectual development so that each of our students can be successful.
On November 2, Streetsboro voters will be asked to approve two operating levies.
·A 3.5-mill, 5-year renewal levy (to replace the expiring levy)
·A 3.9-mill, 5-year additional levy
The Board of Education made the difficult decision to separate the two levies because this is our last chance to renew our 3.5-mill, 5-year levy and still receive necessary funding in 2011. We continue to reduce our expenses by scrutinizing all our expenditures, cutting budgets and implementing cost-cutting measures. In order to show their support as well as make an impact on the bottom line, last spring our teachers and staff members agreed to wage concessions and our administrative team took a pay freeze for FY2011.
