Kindergarten Registration Information

WHO:      Parents/Guardians of a 2017/2018 incoming Kindergarten student

WHAT:    Kindergarten Registration Informational Meeting

 This meeting is for parents only; your child will attend a screening session at a later date

WHEN:  Wednesday, March 8th 2017 at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Streetsboro Elementary School, 8955 Kirby Lane

Preschool Registration Information

Call office to register for Information and Screening Session on Friday, February 17th at 9:30 am or 1:30 pm

Registration packets will be distributed at these sessions.

Registration packets should be turned into the office starting Monday, February 27th.

ARRIVAL and DISMISSAL Procedures

Beginning of Day/ARRIVAL Procedures at Streetsboro Elementary

*  We have a drop-off lane for car riders in the morning.

*  Parents will pull forward to the loading/unloading zone and stay in the vehicle.

*  Students will exit the passenger/curb-side of the vehicle

*  Students who arrive after 8:40 will be marked Tardy.  Parents will need to park and walk into the main entrance (Door 1) to sign-in if their child is late.

Car Riders at Dismissal/End of Day

*  We will have a car rider pick-up lane in the front parking lot.

*  Parents will pull forward to the loading/unloading zone.

*  Parents will stay in their vehicle.

*  Staff will verify who is being picked up and the student will be called to come outside.

   *Permanent Car Riders will have a sign in their car.

   *Occasional car riders will show ID as staff comes to their vehicle.

*  Students will enter the passenger/curb-side of the vehicle.

*  If your child will be a car rider on a daily basis, please complete the information sent home.  If your child will occasionally be a car rider, send in a note on the day and staff will verity the ID of person in the pick-up line.

Absence and Tardy Procedures

Please call the school before 9:00 AM to let us know if your child will not be in school.  You may call during school hours or you may leave a message any time at (330) 422-2400 x1 (Wait Primary) or (330) 626-4900 (Streetsboro Elementary).  Please state your child's name, teacher's name and reason for the absence.

Children are tardy if they arrive after 8:45 AM (Wait Primary) and 8:40 AM (Streetsboro Elementary).  Parents will bring their child into the lobby and sign in.

Please send in a note with your pick-up time.  Students will be called to the offie when you arrive.  Please avoid pick up times between 2:30 and 3:00.

All teachers have email and voicemail.  Parents may use email, voicemail or a hand-written note to communicate with teachers.  

Medical Concerns

If your child has a chronic health condition such as severe allergies requiring an Epi-Pen; asthma needing an inhaler; diabetes; or anything you feel needs to be brought to the attention of the school nurse, please contact the school at (330) 422-2400 (Wait) or (330) 626-4900 (Streetsboro Elementary).

Student Medication

Any student requiring medication must have a Medication Form on file at the school.  This includes both Prescription and over-the-counter medications (both to be signed by a physician).

Lunch

Students may purchase a lunch for $2.75.  Menus are sent home every month.  If packing a lunch, students may purchase milk separately for $0.50.  We encourage parents to use the online Meal Pay Plus system to pre-pay student lunches.  Visit our district website to access the online pay system.  

Surround Care

 

Surround Care is a before and after school program for our elementary students.  Hours are 6:30 AM until school convenes and from dismissal until 6:30 PM on regular school days.  For information, see their flyer or contact Director Lucene Leech, (330) 422-2479
