It's hard to believe that it is already the end of the first marking period! We have enjoyed the great weather and were especially grateful for the beautiful walk-a-thon day! Our staff and parent volunteers helped to make this an event that the students will remember for a long time. We are also eagerly anticipating the "pie throwing" and will be updating the school facebook page with great photos.
Report cards will be coming home with your child Friday, October 27th. Our school Halloween parties will also be held on Friday, 10/27 for grades kindergarten through 3. Pre-school will be holding their classroom Halloween parties on Tuesday, 10/31. Thank you to the PTA who has helped coordinate the parties, and to all of the parent volunteers who are working to make this a fun day for our students. Students can bring their costumes to school and will put them on prior to the parties. (Costumes should be easy for students to put on over their clothes). Please remember: no masks, makeup, weapons, or gore for our school parties.
Conferences will be held from 3:30-7:30 on Thursday, 11/16, and Monday, 11/20. Your child's teacher will be contacting you to schedule an appointment to meet and discuss your student's progress.
There will be no school 11/22-11/24 for Thanksgiving Break.
Finally, as the weather begins to turn colder, please be sure to send your child in with warm jackets, hats, gloves for outdoor recess. We will continue to go outside weather permitting.
We look forward to seeing you on conference nights!
