The Streetsboro City School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.  The meeting will be held at the Board Office, 9000 Kirby Lane, Streetsboro, OH  44241.  The purpose of the meeting is to hold an executive session to consider the employment of a public employee with possible action to follow.

Organizational and Regular January Meeting Notice

The Streetsboro City School District Board of Education will hold its 2015 Organizational Meeting on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Henry Defer Intermediate School Cafeteria, 1895 Annalane Dr., Streetsboro, OH  44241.  The Regular Business Meeting for January 2015 will follow the Organizational Meeting.

Rocket Radio Cybercasts

On Friday, December 12, Streetsboro City Schools will begin hosting cybercasts of Rocket basketball. Initially we will be doing varsity boys' home games then adding other events.  To tune in, please go to the player link at www.rock889.com/rocketradio .

21 members of the Streetsboro Captains Council serve lunch and socialize with over 50 patrons of Kent Social Services.

  In response to recent Ebola Virus concerns nationwide, we have attached a link below from the Portage County Board of Health that gives detailed information regarding the transmission, signs and symptoms, risk of exposure, treatment, and prevention of the virus.
In the event that any concerns regarding this virus arise in the future in Portage County, our district officials would work closely with the Portage County Health Department and area-wide health departments to determine further courses of action.     The purpose of the meeting is to hold an executive session to discuss the employment of employees, with possible action to follow.

Fame Father's Walk

In partnership with the Fame Father’s organization based in Akron (www.famefathers.org), Wait Primary, Campus Elementary, and Defer Intermediate are proud to participate in the Fame Father’s Walk on Thursday, September 18.  This program encourages all fathers and/or positive male role models to bring their student(s) to school on this day.  As an added bonus, those who participate will be able to share “Doughnuts with Dad” during a welcome reception at Defer from 8:00 – 8:15 a.m.

If you are interested in participating, please RSVP by Thursday, September 11 via the letter sent home on Thursday, September 4 and return the bottom slip to your child’s homeroom teacher.  We would like to get a fair, accurate count of how many doughnuts to provide for all our participants.  Please note that Campus and Wait will also host The Fame Father’s Walk on September 18. If you have children in more than one building you are welcome to attend the event with all of your children at whichever building you choose.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parents and Guardians:

It is time to schedule a time to visit Streetsboro High for a conference. We will be holding conferences on Thursday, September 25th. Please plan on conferences lasting around 20 minutes.

This year Streetsboro High School has gone paperless for scheduling conference times! The entire school will be using  myconferencetime.com/streetsborohs to schedule times. There are only a select number of appointments for a given time slot (we recommend that you sign up early for your preferential time). Please sign up for a time slot by visiting http://www.myconferencetime.com/streetsborohs

If you are unable to sign up for a time and date via your personal computer or public library, please call the guidance office at (330) 422-2410. We can schedule you with a time based on the teachers’ availability.
