Office of the Treasurer/CFO
Welcome to the Streetsboro City School District Treasurer’s Office. While ensuring both efficient operations and student achievement, we are dedicated to being good stewards of all resources entrusted to the district. We manage a $25,000,000 annual budget that includes local, state, and federal funds.
Streetsboro City Schools is primarily funded by local real estate taxes. Our reliance on local taxes has become more significant as the State of Ohio has reduced funding. One such reduction is the phase out of tangible personal property tax, a tax on business machinery, equipment, and machinery that was repealed under House Bill 66 in 2005. An accelerated phase out was implemented in fiscal year 2012 by Governor Kasich’s administration in an effort to balance the State budget.
The district’s General Fund accounts for the majority of the entity’s revenue and expenses. Historical and projected data for the General Fund are found on the Five Year Forecast. These documents, along with various other financial reports can be found on this link. I encourage you to review the reports and contact me if you should need further information.
Thank you for your continued support.
