Cindy began her Board duties in January of 1996. She is currently serving her fourth term, which expires in December 2011. In addition to serving as the Board's President, Cindy is also the Performance Outcomes liaison between the Board and administration. She is also the Boards official representative to the Maplewood Career Center Board of Education.
In the spring of 2007, Cindy received her fourth OSBA Award of Achievement.The OSBA Award of Achievement program recognizes Ohio public school board members who strive to become better board member by participating in workshops and conferences, volunteering for service to their association, and working on behalf of their board.In the spring of 2005, Cindy received the Master Board Member Award, a lifetime distinction from OSBA.
Cindy has been active in many community organizations.She is a member of the Streetsboro American Legion, Streetsboro VFW, Grid Iron Club, PTA, and Boy Scouts.
Cindy has a background in Special Education and Physical Education.A graduate of the University of Rio Grande, Cindy also holds a Master of Education Administration from Ashland University.Cindy is an officer in the United States Army Reserves for over twenty years.Cindy is a High School Principal in Cleveland Metropolitan School District. She and her husband, Jeff have a son, Matthew, who attends Streetsboro High School.
