Team Hoyt Video Last years team Running Camp at Cook Forest State Park in PA was canceled. We are hoping to go this summer. Many parents are key in the success of the trip so I'll be making contact to find volunteers, thanks.

Off Season conditioning must take place throughout the year. Athletes should focus on logging miles and learning new paces. Keep the intensity mid-low so you don't get injured or worn out. Runners run most of the year, 10-11 months.

Summer practice schedule are being finalized now, check back soon.
Fees are $150 so I ask students to assist their parents by saving their own money to help cover the cost of participation.
The 24-hour relay is set for this summer, plan on being there. All proceeds go towards team expenses and gear. Thanks for the support!

The Akron Marathon Relay race is taking sign-ups. Each team must consist of 5 members. See the link below...

Many girls consider distance running but don't. "I'm not a distance runner" or "I don't think I can do it" are 2 reasons that I always hear. I believe that hard work and dedication will allow ALL students to have success in this sport. I have witnessed so many girls, non-distance runners included, achieve success because they tried. Don't let the fear of the unknown keep you from achieving your potential.
Last season, we fought injuries to many key varsity runners and struggled to field our best team. Metro competition was also very tough. We finished 4th overall in the league and had 2 girls receive honorable mention in the Metro Division of the PTC.

Summer practice schedule are being finalized now, check back soon.

The team was the biggest in my coaching experience with 22 girls finishing the season. We graduated five key seniors, 5 varsity A-team runners, and needed to focus on replacing them.
