Culture of Champions___________________________

On November 26th, 2007 the Streetsboro Football Program came together along with those most invested in its future---players, parents, coaches, administration and the Gridiron Club---to celebrate a vision of prominence for Streetsboro Football.  Since that night, the Rockets have worked hard to elevate Streetsboro into a CULTURE OF CHAMPIONS.

What is a Culture of Champions? It is a belief that part-time excellence is unacceptable; that excellence is a lifestyle.  Thus, we excel intellectually, through service, with leadership, by example, with attitude, and through our words and actions.

Does this mean we want to win championships?  ABSOLUTELY!

But as we strive for our own annual championships, each of us must aspire to contribute to our collective championship culture through winning, leading, servicing, encouraging, energizing, training, and preparing.  With each play, touchdown, field goal, kick return, quarterback sack, tackle for loss, and 3 and out, comes a contagiousness that infects all and inspires a momentum, striving to become a contender for the PTC championship and the state playoffs.

Because we strive for a position in the state playoffs, success will take an enormous, collective effort of everyone committed to our vision.  The Culture of Champions concept is not exclusively the responsibility of players and coaches at the HS as measured by raising a championship trophy at the end of the season, but, rather, the culture to which we aspire contains a mind-set of every single person, from the Mighty Mights to the seniors, performing like a champion in everything we do.
