College Thursday at Defer Intermediate

Every Thursday is "College Thursday" at Defer Intermediate.  We encourage students to wear college gear.  Our goal is to start conversations around college and career readiness, academic success, and life-long learning.

Visit from Mayor Broska

We would like to thank Mayor Glenn Broska for taking time out of his busy day to visit Defer Intermediate School.  Daily, Mr. Keruski and Mrs. Zenker welcome our students to school.  And on Friday, we had a guest greeter, the mayor.  We appreciate all of the support he gives to our school and to the district.

Flag Raising Training

Thank you members of the VFW and the American Legion.  Each day, Student Council Members raise and lower the American Flag.  Students were trained on the poroper ptotocol and will use this knowledge daily as they prepare the flag for display.  Please see photo gallery for more pictures of the students being trained.

Traffic Pattern Interruption

Beginning Wednesday, September 23, 2015, and commencing for the next two weeks, there will be significant road construction from the new High School site up to Dollar General.  From 9:00 am to 6:00 pm every day, Route 14 will be reduced to one lane of traffic.  It is predicted to cause SIGNIFICANT delays, possibly backing traffic all the way up to the turnpike and toward Ravenna to Lake Rockwell.    If you are arriving to school after 9:00 am or picking up a child early, please plan accordingly.  Also, at the conclusion of the day you may want to plan an alternate route home.  It is also possible there will be delays with buses in the afternoon.
