Car Rider Information

I need to pick up my child at the end of the school day rather than have them take the bus. What do I need to do?

Please send a note signed by the student’s legal guardian, email or fax to the main office no later than 2pm (phone calls will not be accepted) indicating that your child will be a car rider. Please include the day and date your child will be a car rider and the name of the adult picking them up in the note, email or fax. Students who are being picked up by their parents (we call them Car Riders) will be called down to the gymnasium at 3:15. Parents/authorized adults must wait outside the doors closest to the gymnasium. A staff member will open the doors when students are in gymnasium for pick-up. The staff member will ask the parent/authorized adult for the name of the child they are picking up and request a photo ID, as a safety measure. Students will be called out of the gym by a staff member and sent out of the building with their parent/authorized adult.

If your child will be a car rider for the entire school year please include this information in your note, fax or email. Please list the names of any other adults who are authorized to pick your students up from car riders.

Morning Drop Off Procedure

To ensure the safety of all of our student please remember to adhere to the following morning drop off procedures:

  • Students must be supervised by an adult until they are allowed to enter the building at 8:25am.
  • While busses are dropping off students in front of the school parents must park their car, walk with their student through the line of busses and to the sidewalk in front of the school.
  • Once all busses have dropped off our students, parents may pull up to the front curb and students may exit the vehicle on to the school side walk. Do not allow students to exit the vehicle on the school parking lot side.
