The Streetsboro City School District Board of Education will hold its June Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. in the Henry Defer Intermediate School Cafeteria, 1895 Annalane Dr., Streetsboro, OH 44241. There will be no meeting on Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Thank You to Our Right to Read Team!

Campus Elementary would like to thank all of the people who helped make our Right to Read week a success! Our school team created fun, educational, hands on activities to teach our students about ancient Egypt. They are Mrs. Jennifer Fisher, Mrs. Marisa Cortes, Mrs. Michele Forsyth, Ms. Annette Lomis, Mrs. Inger Barnes, Mrs. Sarah Chaney, Mrs. Amy Eibler, Mrs. Dawn Gear and Mrs. Trisha Romano. We would also like to thank those teachers, parents and community members who helped with the school decorations. They are Mrs. Michele Forsyth, Mrs. Alana Links, Mrs. Megan Steinberger, Mrs. Julie Neal, Mr. Scott Links, Mrs. Jen Wert, Mrs. Stacey Claflin, Mrs. Gina Arlesic, Mrs. Rita Kroeger, Mrs. Kris Harner, Mrs. Jennifer Hedges, Mrs. Jennifer Beale and our wonderful Middle School student painting team!

Tug-O-War Champions!

Congratulations to Mrs. Barnes' second grade class and Mrs. Divis' third grade class for winning the Tug-O-War Championship! 


Last Day of School Photos

Campus Students Sign Beam and Tour Third Grade Wing

Hammond Construction provided Campus students with four beams that will be installed over the summer months. Students were allowed to sign the beams to celebrate the new construction. Students were also able to tour the new third grade classroom wing. Thank you to Hammond Construction for these special opportunities for our students!

Camp Read S'more

Camp Read S'more begins May 31 and runs through June 17. Students will report to Defer Intermediate School every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Students who requested transportation will be contacted to confirm pick up and drop off locations and times.

Spring Test Results for Third Grade Students

The results of the State Reading and Math tests will be released to districts near the end of June. If your child does not meet the cut score required under the Third Grade Reading Guarantee you will be contacted by Ms. Cottrell to set up a summer reading test for your child. A blast call will be sent to all third grade parents once the test results are in. 

Teacher Assignments for the 16-17 School Year

All incoming second and third grade students will be notified of their class assignment via the mail by the middle of June.

Streetsboro Library's Summer Reading Program
Campus students can sign up to participate in the Portage County Library's Summer Reading Club! The Reading Club will meet on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 1:30 to 2:30 starting the week of June 6 and ending the week of July 4.  Their theme this summer is On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! This is a wonderful way to help maintian your child's rhard earned reading skills  and encourage independant reading over the summer months.
Students in grades K-4 are invited to join. Please register for this wonderful opportunity by calling 330-626-4458 starting Tuesday, May 24.
The Campus Cabbage Competition Begins!

Each year our Campus students are given the opportunity to participate in the annual Bonnie Plant summer cabbage growing program. All second graders receive a free cabbage plant to grow over the summer (sent home on 4/15/16). A flyer is sent home with the plant explaining the program...
